Profile

Leccino is the gentle half of the great Tuscan partnership: where Frantoio brings structure and bite, Leccino brings softness, sweetness and an early, even ripening that makes it reliable across climates. Its oil is delicate and approachable — mild green fruit, almond, a clean light finish — and it is one of the most widely planted Italian varieties precisely because it rounds out blends and pleases broad palates. It is also frost-tolerant and disease-resistant, a favourite of growers.
